Eat: Homemade Christmas Pizza with Double Smoked Ham, Roasted Tomatoes, Red Cress and Basil

Pizza is great at any time of the year, and this Christmas inspired recipe is perfect for using leftover leg ham at holiday time. The greens and reds of the tomatoes, basil and cress ensure it is appropriately festive!

Ingredients

Homemade pizza dough (see our previous recipe)

1/2 cup of tomato paste

1 tablespoon of olive oil

3/4 cup of grated cheddar cheese

3 slices of double smoked leg ham

5 vine ripened tomatoes, quartered

1/4 cup of cubed feta cheese

Basil leaves, red cress and flat-leaf parsley to serve

To make top a homemade pizza base with tomato paste. Add cheddar cheese, smoked ham, tomatoes and feta. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake in a hot oven for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese is golden. Remove from oven, top with fresh basil leaves, parsley and red cress and serve. Enjoy!

  1. Looks good, I’ll have to try that for New Years Eve, all except the ham leg, substitute tofu.
