ELE Health & Beauty: We Review Chanel’s L’Eau Anti-Pollution Micellar Water and L’Huile Anti-Pollution Cleansing Oil

There is something about Chanel’s classic black and white packaging and interlinking CC’s that screams luxury and Chanel’s beauty range is no exception. The bottles are so pretty it’s almost a crime to use them, not using them however, would mean missing out on some seriously great products. We review two of our favourite cleansers from the recently released cleansing range.

L’eau Micellaire Anti-Pollution Micellar Cleansing Water

What Chanel Says

The high tolerance formula of L’EAU MICELLAIRE is recommended for all skin types, and particularly sensitive skin. In a single step, it removes makeup and cleanses the skin while respecting skin pH levels thanks to a prebiotic molecule. Its micelles capture and eliminate makeup – even long-lasting makeup – impurities, UV filters and pollutants.

What We Say

Chanel’s first foray into the Micellar Water game is everything you would expect it to be – a superior product packed with skin-loving ingredients wrapped up in classic Chanel packaging. Blue green algae is the hero ingredient in this product, moisturising and strengthening the skin with every use. It removes make-up effortlessly while leaving skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, not tight and dry. Unexpectedly it isn’t cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for – a high quality effective product that is beautifully packaged.

L’Huile Anti-Pollution Cleansing Oil

What Chanel Says

L’HUILE effectively removes makeup – even longwearing and waterproof formulas – while preserving skin’s balance. In parallel, it frees skin of impurities and pollutants. On contact with water, the silky texture transforms into a soft lather for a pure moment of pleasure. In a delicate, voluptuous caress, skin is left supple, luminous and perfectly makeup-free.

What We Say

Chanel’s L’Huile cleansing oil has fast tracked its way to the top of our skin cleanser list – the texture, the smell, the effectiveness – if you like cleansing with oils you will LOVE this product. Every single time you cleanse with this oil it feels like a pampering spa session. The texture is exquisite and it leaves the skin perfectly cleansed. It is also a great oil for a facial massage. Like most Chanel beauty products it is beautifully fragranced, however if your skin can’t tolerate fragrance it may not be for you.

If you are looking for highly effective cleansers that will be a beautiful addition to your skincare regime (and also look great on your bathroom shelf) look no further than these Chanel products, just be prepared to spend a little more than you might usually spend on a cleanser.
