Escape: Luxury Stay – Waldmann Cottage, Queenstown, New Zealand

Perched on a hill with commanding views across Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, New Zealand is Waldmann Cottage, a beautifully renovated 1800s cottage that is available for private rentals.  We were lucky enough to spend a week here recently while we were visiting this wonderful part of New Zealand. The cottage itself has been lovingly restored and extended, making the most of the traditional stone walls and views across the town and lake. There are 4 bedrooms and plenty of space for families or groups with the added bonus of an outdoor jacuzzi and open fire place, the perfect spot to relax following a day exploring the area, hiking or skiing. The interior is modern chalet style, with luxury throws and plush furnishings which are perfect for lounging around enjoying the views. The cottage is a short walk to the main town (though the hills are steep!) or a quick drive away. It is a great base to explore everything Queenstown has to offer.
