Review: Sisley Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream

At $260 (AUD) dollars, no one can deny that Sisley Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream is a splurge buy and if you are going to part with such serious cash you need to make sure it is on a product that can live up to its hype and its price tag.

We review the cult cream from French luxury cosmetic house Sisley Paris, and find out if it is worth splashing your hard earned dollars on.

Sisley Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream

What Sisley Says

Instantly hydrate your skin to glow with renewed radiance and freshness. Experience the power of Black Rose extracts at the heart of this remarkable rejuvenation for your skin.

An exceptionally sensorial application: a silky texture that transforms into micro-droplets of water and permeates into the heart of the epidermis. Hydrated, the skin is infused with moisture, as if rejuvenated. The combination of oily Black Rose extract, May Rose water and Shea and Camelina oils leaves the skin soft, bringing an instant sensation of freshness and long-lasting comfort. The signature scent of Black Rose skin care – essential oils of Rose, Magnolia and Geranium – awakens the senses and provides an immediate sensation of well-being.

What We Say

A luxuriously scented product that hydrates, plumps and softens, Sisley’s Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream is one of the best moisturising creams we have used in a long time.

This cream is not cheap, it is definitely a splurge purchase, however in our opinion it is worth every penny. Not only does your skin feel super hydrated and plump, after using it at night we wake up with a dewy fresh glow. The cream texture is medium weight and sinks in to the skin easily leaving a deeply hydrated feeling rather than a sticky residue.

A little goes a long way with this cream so the trick is to not use too much product, dab a few spots on temples, forehead, cheeks and chin and gently press the moisturiser into the skin. The product will last quite a long time (after 1 month of regular use we are no more than a third of the way through the pot).

Used over a course of 4 weeks our tester saw a noticeable difference in the overall hydration and plumpness of her skin. The scent is exquisite – delicately perfumed rather than cloying, however if your preference is for no scent in your products this cream may not be for you.

Of course, you can find cheaper moisturisers on the market that will give you beautifully moisturised skin, however if you are looking for a cream that can give you a luxurious and relaxing spa experience combined with a product that really works look no further than this product.

We also love the packaging, a richly decadent mirrored jar that screams of luxury and looks beautiful on the bathroom shelf.

If you really want to splash out, used in combination with other products from the Black Rose range (we love the Precious Face Oil), your skin will benefit from the cumulative effects of the ingredients.
