Virgo is Azriel.
Quiet. Observant. Controlled. And probably aware of far more than everyone else in the room.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury but tends to express that influence differently from Gemini. Where Gemini communicates outwardly, Virgo often processes inwardly, observing patterns, collecting information and noticing details that other people miss.
Azriel has literally built his role around this ability.
As Rhysand’s spymaster, he watches, listens and uncovers information. His shadows make the connection even more fitting. Azriel frequently knows what is happening before other people realise there is something worth noticing.

Intense, private, fiercely loyal, enormously powerful and capable of remembering something you said eight years ago with uncomfortable accuracy.

He is also one of the sharpest conversationalists in ACOTAR. Long before the series becomes consumed by wars and ancient magical threats, Lucien’s sarcasm and quick responses are some of the funniest parts of the first book.
Gemini is often described as having two sides, but that does not necessarily mean being inconsistent or false. It can simply mean understanding that different situations bring out different parts of someone’s personality.
Lucien understands that better than most.
He can be witty and lighthearted, then suddenly serious. He can act as a courtier, emissary, friend or political intermediary depending on what the situation requires.
He also occupies an extraordinary position within the political map of Prythian. His connections potentially stretch across the Autumn Court, Spring Court, Night Court, Day Court and human territories, giving him an almost unmatched ability to move between groups.

Cancer: Feyre Archeron
June 21 – July 22
Cancer is Feyre Archeron.
Cancer is a water sign associated with emotion, intuition, home and an intense desire to protect the people it loves. That protective instinct drives almost every stage of Feyre’s story.
Before Prythian, before Rhysand and before she has any idea what a High Lord is, Feyre is protecting her family. She hunts because someone has to feed them. She carries responsibility long before she has the power or resources to make that responsibility easy.
Then her world expands.
Feyre’s definition of family changes dramatically throughout ACOTAR, but her instinct remains the same. Once she loves someone, protecting them becomes part of who she is.
That is very Cancer.
Cancer is often described as deeply attached to home, but “home” does not necessarily mean the place where someone was born. It is wherever they feel emotionally safe.
For Feyre, that eventually becomes Velaris.
Her relationship with the Night Court is not simply political. She finds a family there. She finds friends, creativity, love and a place where she can build a life that feels like her own.

Leo understands performance.
That does not necessarily mean being fake. It means understanding presence.

Velaris is another expression of that loyalty.

Rhys knows he is powerful.

Virgo is Azriel.
Quiet. Observant. Controlled. And probably aware of far more than everyone else in the room.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury but tends to express that influence differently from Gemini. Where Gemini communicates outwardly, Virgo often processes inwardly, observing patterns, collecting information and noticing details that other people miss.
Azriel has literally built his role around this ability.
As Rhysand’s spymaster, he watches, listens and uncovers information. His shadows make the connection even more fitting. Azriel frequently knows what is happening before other people realise there is something worth noticing.
Virgo is also associated with precision, discipline and skill.
Azriel is not the loudest member of the Inner Circle. He rarely needs to be. His power tends to feel contained rather than performed.
That reserve can create problems.
Virgo has a reputation for overthinking, and Azriel may understand that better than almost anyone in ACOTAR. He can hold onto emotions for a very long time rather than dealing with them directly.

Virgo would probably like everyone involved to provide a spreadsheet.
Unfortunately, Prythian does not work that way.
Libra: Mor
September 23 – October 22
Libra is Morrigan, better known as Mor.
Ruled by Venus, Libra is traditionally associated with beauty, charm, relationships, social intelligence and diplomacy. Mor embodies much of that energy.
She knows how to move through a room. She understands people and social dynamics, and she often provides warmth within an Inner Circle filled with extraordinarily intense personalities.
Mor also loves beautiful things, enjoys nightlife and generally understands that surviving centuries of Fae politics does not mean you have to stop enjoying yourself.
But Libra is more complicated than the stereotype of someone who simply wants everyone to get along.
The sign is represented by the scales.
Fairness matters.
Mor’s entire power is connected to truth, making the association particularly interesting. She has endured enormous cruelty from her family and remains deeply aware of the difference between peace and merely pretending that everything is fine.
Her role outside the Night Court also increasingly involves diplomacy and alliances, another natural Libra fit.
Libra can struggle with conflict, particularly when addressing a situation could destabilise important relationships. Mor has several emotional relationships she leaves unresolved for a very long time, particularly with Azriel.
That does not make her dishonest.

There was never really another option. Scorpio is Nesta Archeron.
Intense, private, fiercely loyal, enormously powerful and capable of remembering something you said eight years ago with uncomfortable accuracy.
Scorpio is a fixed water sign traditionally associated with transformation, emotional depth, power, secrecy and rebirth.
Nesta’s entire character arc is transformation.
She becomes High Fae against her will. She emerges from the Cauldron with terrifying power. She survives grief, self-destruction and enormous anger before slowly rebuilding herself through training, friendship and love.
Nothing about Nesta happens lightly.
She loves intensely.
She hates intensely.
She suffers intensely.
Even her silence feels intense.
Scorpio energy is often misunderstood because the sign is frequently characterised as simply dark, jealous or mysterious. At its best, Scorpio is extraordinarily resilient. It can move through painful experiences and emerge changed rather than destroyed by them.
That is Nesta.
Her story in A Court of Silver Flames is not about suddenly becoming pleasant. It is about confronting the parts of herself she has been using as weapons and deciding what she wants to carry forward.
Her friendship with Gwyn and Emerie is particularly important because it gives Nesta something she has rarely experienced: connection without old expectations attached to it.
Together, they revive the Valkyries.

Sagittarius: Vassa
November 22 – December 21
Sagittarius is Vassa.
Perhaps not the first character you expected, but hear us out.
Sagittarius is the zodiac’s freedom seeker. Traditionally associated with exploration, independence, adventure and an unwillingness to remain trapped inside someone else’s expectations, this fire sign struggles most when its ability to choose its own path is restricted.
Freedom sits at the centre of Vassa’s story.
She is a mortal queen who is betrayed and sold to Koschei the Deathless, then cursed into the form of a firebird. Her ability to move freely is literally controlled by someone else.
That makes her desire for independence far more than a personality quirk.
It becomes survival.
Vassa also has the fiery energy you would expect from Sagittarius. She is bold, outspoken and unlikely to quietly accept her circumstances simply because they appear impossible to change.
Her relationship with Lucien and Jurian also places her among one of ACOTAR’s most unconventional little groups. The Band of Exiles exists outside the traditional structure of the seven courts, which feels appropriately Sagittarius.

Capricorn is Amren.

Capricorn is traditionally associated with ambition, discipline, strategy, self-control and authority. While Amren is considerably stranger than your average Capricorn, she shares that formidable practicality.
Amren rarely needs to be the loudest person in the room.
She simply needs everyone to understand that she probably knows more than they do.
Her relationship with Rhysand is partly effective because he respects her power and judgement rather than expecting her to behave like anyone else in the Inner Circle.
Capricorn also tends to value competence.
Amren absolutely does.
She has very little patience for foolishness and an even lower tolerance for people who waste her time. Emotional dramatics are fine, presumably, as long as they do not interfere with solving the actual problem.
There is ambition here too.
Amren is fascinated by power, ancient language and magical objects. She understands that knowledge can be just as useful as physical strength, particularly in a world where half the current problems seem to involve ancient forces nobody completely understands.

Aquarius is traditionally associated with independence, individuality, social change and questioning systems simply because everyone else has decided those systems are normal.
That makes Emerie an excellent match.
As an Illyrian woman, she lives inside a culture with deeply entrenched expectations about what women can and cannot do. Her wings have been clipped, permanently limiting her ability to fly, but she nevertheless creates an independent life for herself.
She owns and runs her own shop.
She survives.
Then she begins training.
Emerie’s decision to become a Valkyrie carries meaning far beyond physical strength. She is participating in something that challenges the assumptions of the culture around her.
Aquarius often gets described as rebellious, but the better word might be independent.
It does not automatically reject tradition.
It simply wants a good reason to follow it.
Emerie has every reason to question the traditions she inherited.
Her friendship with Nesta and Gwyn also creates a new kind of community for her. Together, the Valkyries build something outside the existing power structure instead of waiting for that structure to make room for them.
That feels distinctly Aquarian.

Pisces is Gwyneth Berdara.
Sensitive, intuitive, imaginative and far stronger than she initially appears, Gwyn has many of the qualities traditionally associated with the final water sign of the zodiac.
Pisces often experiences the world emotionally. It is associated with empathy, creativity, spirituality and an ability to understand atmosphere and feeling in ways that are not always easy to explain logically.
Gwyn’s life as a priestess immediately gives her story a more spiritual dimension than many other ACOTAR characters.
Music matters to her.
Community matters.
So does sanctuary.
After surviving the attack on Sangravah and losing her twin sister, Catrin, Gwyn builds a protected life in the library beneath the House of Wind. Her eventual decision to train with Nesta is therefore not simply about becoming physically stronger.

She gradually steps beyond the boundaries of the world she has created to keep herself safe.
Pisces can sometimes be stereotyped as fragile because of its emotional sensitivity, but that misses one of the sign’s greatest strengths. Feeling deeply and surviving are not opposites.
Gwyn demonstrates that beautifully.
Her friendship with Nesta and Emerie becomes one of the emotional centres of A Court of Silver Flames. Through the Valkyries, all three women learn that healing does not require pretending the past never happened.
