H&M has unveiled a cutting-edge new collection inspired by the Metaverse and the blurring boundaries between our online and offline lives.
The collection is high fashion meeting the fantasy of virtual wardrobes, and the immersive potential of the metaverse, where fashion can be enjoyed without the restrictions of the laws of gravity, or societal expectations, drawing on the part-ethereal, part-cyberpunk aesthetic of shapeshifting avatars.
Colour, volume and drama dominate with stand-out silhouettes, layers of tulle, intricate embroidery, shimmering sequins and a bright colour palette. 22 womenswear looks feature in the collection, alongside seven dynamic menswear looks, and a series of accessories designed with circularity in mind.
The limited collection will be available for purchase in strict quantities at the GPO Melbourne H&M flagship store and online at hm.com from 8 December.
