My Weekend With Sophie Marshall, Founder of Gentle Habits

As the founder of Australian lifestyle brand Gentle Habits, it is no surprise that Sophie Marshall’s weekend is filled with wellbeing rituals, family life and the beach. We catch up with this inspiring founder and find out how she spends her downtime and restores for her busy week ahead.

Friday night

It’s tools down for the week and we love to join our neighbours in the street for a wine or Margarita down the lake where we live, watch the sunset with all the kids running around and then followed by a communal group Brgr Spot takeaway. Friday nights like these make the weekend feel longer!

Saturday AM

I like to kick-off my Saturday with my gentle habit of a Yoga class at “Free The Coconut” in Yamba then followed by a coffee with mates at Summi’s Yamba. I always like to try and move my body on the weekend and be consistent with my weekly habits.

If it’s beach weather here we then pack up and leave the chores for the day and have a day at Spooky’s beach chasing waves with my boys who are surf mad. I always pack my Gentle Habits Dive mask for some much-needed underwater stillness time!

Saturday PM

Usually a movie night in, or we hit the local Drift Pizza with our boys Duke and Ace for the best vegetarian pizza, a rose and a gelato on the way home – vanilla bean, EVVO olive oil and Himalayan sea salt on top!

Sunday AM

My favourite part of the weekend, coffee in bed with our This is Incense, a book and a podcast and then a dog walk down the beach with our two pugaliers.
The boys usually surf mid-morning and I will be the mum on the beach filming on my iPhone and producing a quick surf edit to music for them.

Sunday PM

I always like to book in a Yin Yoga class Sunday afternoon, head home relaxed have a shower with my Gentle Habits Ritual Shower Oil and set my week up ready and write in my Positive Outcomes Journal.
