My City with Toni He, Friend of Audrey Creative Director – Paris

With her keen eye for style and design, Toni He, Creative Director at Friend of Audrey has established herself as a prominent figure in the fashion scene. We chat to Toni and find out more about the city she calls home, Paris.

1. Tell us about the area that you live in and why you chose to make it your home

I currently live in the 16th arrondissement in Paris. It is a beautiful and calm area with streets filled with boulangeries, florists, local shops and fresh grocers. It is located in a local neighborhood right opposite the Eiffel Tower, with beautiful views.

2. Where are your favorite places to eat and shop?

I love having breakfast at Les Deux Margots in Saint Germain. They have amazing warm croissants and many tables, so you don’t have to wait long. Gigi’s for dinner is amazing. Go for the second seating where it turns into a great atmosphere at night with plenty of dancing and napkin waving. Le Marais is charming and has great boutique stores.

3. How would you spend a perfect day in your city?

I would start the day by having a nice Parisian breakfast, coffee and people watching. Spend some time at a museum, then go to a park such as Palais Royal – sit, snack and chat with friends, and soak in the sunshine. Then end the day at a wine bar or restaurant.

4. What is your favorite thing about your city?

I love the architecture and history in Paris. It is a city that is so unique, charming and well kept. There is beauty around every corner.

5. Any other local insider secrets we should know about?

Parisians are actually warm and friendly people once you get to know them. Just understand the customs, be polite and learn some common phrases in French. This will go a long way.
