Anyone else let their hair go too long in-between appointments? After a number of months between cuts I recently visited Toni & Guy Georges in Little Collins Street, Melbourne for a hairdressing experience and I have to say, it was a much-needed luxury. Greeted by the friendly Toni & Guy team I was immediately put at ease. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxing, and there was a buzz of creativity in the air. The staff were all friendly and professional, and they made sure to offer me a drink and make me feel at home. Jo Smith, the Salon Owner and Director, was my stylist for the day and she definitely knows her way around hair!
When I met Jo, I immediately felt like I was in good hands. She had a warm and friendly demeanor, and she was genuinely interested in my hair concerns and goals. She spent time examining my hair, feeling the texture and assessing the damage, and then she gave me some great advice on how to care for my hair at home. She even recommended some specific products that she thought would work well for my hair type and needs.
She listened carefully to my concerns and made some great recommendations based on my hair type and face shape. She suggested a hydrating and nourishing treatment to give my hair some much-needed nourishment, which I happily agreed to.
The wash was a relaxing experience, and the products used smelled heavenly. Jo took her time and made sure my hair was thoroughly cleaned and conditioned. She then proceeded with the cut, which was precise and exactly what I had asked for. I was impressed by her attention to detail and her ability to translate my requests and her appreciation that I only wanted a small trim (even though my hair probably needed more!).
The bespoke treatment that Jo applied left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny, which was a huge improvement from the dull locks that I had walked in with. She used the Wella System Professional Hydrate to nourish the internal part of my hair and a hot towel to help it absorb, followed by a repair mask to protect and moisturize (heavenly!). She then went on to blow dry and style my hair for a night out. She was extremely skilled and efficient, taking care to use the right tools and products to achieve the perfect look.
In addition to the excellent service, I also appreciated the fact that the salon used high-quality products and equipment. It was clear that they valued their clients’ hair health and were committed to using only the best tools and techniques. I left the salon feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and excited to try out my new look.
Overall, the experience at Toni & Guy Georges was exceptional. Jo Smith is a talented stylist who clearly cares about her clients and their hair health. She listened to my needs, offered great advice, and delivered a haircut and style that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend a visit for anyone looking for a professional and enjoyable hairdressing experience, right in the heart of Melbourne.
