To kick off summer following a most unusual year, Sydneysiders are in for a sky high treat as Hendrick’s Gin launches the first-of-its-kind bar in the sky. The Most Unusual Balloon Bar makes its maiden voyage in Darling Harbour on 5 December, giving lucky guests the opportunity to fly at an elevation of 110 Feet (equivalent to over 170 cucumbers!) above Sydney.
This unique experience will offer gin-lovers the opportunity to escape the conventional and embrace the delectable, enjoying Hendrick’s world-famous gin as they experience the view of the exquisite sights of Sydney. Guests will also enjoy a hamper of Hendrick’s-themed goodies to pay homage to Hendrick’s hero partner, the humble cuke, as they grace Sydney skies.
Bookings will be available exclusively on the dedicated website so curious minds with a penchant for the peculiar, must be quick to avoid missing out. At 9:00am (AEDT) on Monday November 30th, Australians will be able to book exclusive sessions available on a first-come, first-served basis.
As part of the most unusual summer, Hendrick’s Gin has also pioneered the ‘Tini Martini’, offering Sydneysiders the opportunity to enjoy Hendrick’s distinctively delectable drink of choice, a gin martini in miniature form.
Guests can collect a ‘Tini Martini’ from the ‘Hendrick’s Cucumber Bar’ situated at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, before swapping their martini glass for a free Hendrick’s gin and tonic. Visitors on the ground can view Hendrick’s Most Unusual Balloon Bar while enjoying their complimentary beverage from participating venues across Sydney Harbour including PS40, Helm Bar, The Barbershop, Café Del Mar, Planar, Prince of York, The Swinging Cat and Champagne Bar, The Sofitel.
