We Chat to Roxy Jacenko, Founder of Candle Art Brand XRJCelebrations

No one can deny that Sydney PR powerhouse and business maven, Roxy Jacenko is a hard working professional. From running her PR firm and associated businesses to her retail adventures (some alongside daughter Pixie) and now XRJCelebrations, this busy Sydney mother of two is always on the go.

We chat to Roxy about her inspiration behind XRJCelebrations and how she manages her busy life.

1. Tell us about the inspiration behind XRJ Celebrations

The inspiration for the XRJCelebrations candles comes from so many different places, I find that floral arrangements and the composition of colours definitely inspires the colour palettes and in terms of shapes, architecture forms a huge inspiration, from curved walls to staircases.

2. How do you balance your time with your various businesses and family life?

I don’t – anyone who says you can find a balance is lying! It’s a public holiday today, I am on vacation and I am working – when its your own, that’s just what you do – I forgo social engagements to ensure I have plenty of time to be with my family.

3. What does a typical day look like for you?

Every morning I am up at 6.20am, dressed for gym and I duck up to my local coffee shop, Rocco’s for a Skim Piccolo, then its back home to do a 45 minute workout with Calum from VRTUS in our purpose built home gym.

By 8am I am at my desk and will review the orders across our brands and work on getting them packed and ready for collection – then its emails for the most part of the day covering off our Sweaty Betty PR and Ministry of Talent commitments then straight home for 6pm to play with the kids and by 8pm back on my emails!

4. What can we expect to see next from XRJ Celebrations

We are constantly developing new styles and colours – we have a huge focus on creating affordable pieces that take the humble candle into art!
