Having a great dress at the ready is one of my biggest secrets to summer dressing. A maxi dress should be a classic go-to for that last minute look to wear to a party, lunch or occasion. It should be easy to wear, flattering and be able to be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Here are five trends I am loving this season that are both statement and wearable for every day.

1. Ixiah Burnt Orange Maxi $689.95

First the off-the-shoulder trend, as seen in this high impact burnt orange dress by Ixiah. Wear casually with sandals and shades for a day look or add some drama with a heels and mixed metal accessories at night.

2. Elka Collective – Orlanda Maxi Dress $289 –

Cut outs are huge in summer dresses right now, this pretty style from Elka is the perfect mix of feminine and sexy.

3. Alice McCall wild horses midi dress $425

I adore the embroidered look but with a modern twist, like this dress by Alice McCall with peak-a-boo cut outs and a silhouette that hugs and flairs in all the right places, this is an easy go-to dress for every summer occasion. Add a red lip and heel for extra effect!

4. Auguste the Label Amaliah Franco Midi Dress $199

A relaxed fit is perfect for those days when you want pretty and easy dressing. We love the romantic print of this Auguste dress and the longer sleeves for extra cover up.

5. Bec and Bridge, Carmen Maxi Dress

And lastly, every girl should have a go-to black strappy maxi dress for any and all occasions, the tiers on this style by Bec and Bridge is very on trend right now but is flattering so will stay in your wardrobe as a classic item. Dress up with heels or evening sandals, or white sneakers and a denim jacket for an on-the-go outfit!
