A cosy day starts with a delicious breakfast. How about granola that smells like banana bread baking? This crunchy and lightly spiced granola is delicious served with warm milk and yoghurt and fresh slices of banana or passionfruit halves. To make this granola grain free just switch the oats for rice or quinoa puffs.

Ingredients
1 cup of oats
1 cup flaked almonds
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup coconut shredded or flakes
2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
3 tbsp of flax seed
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 ripe banana, peeled
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
Method
Pre-heat oven to 175 C. Put the banana, coconut oil and cinnamon into a blender and blitz. Pour over the dry seeds and nuts and mix well, spread onto a lined baking tray bake for 20 -25 minutes or until deep golden brown. Stir a couple of times while cooking to ensure the granola is an even colour.
Remove from oven, serve warm with fresh fruit and yoghurt. Enjoy.
