Dr Roebuck’s The Goldie Vitamin C Glow Drops Review

Need a little extra glow in your life? We review the Dr Roebuck’s The Goldie Vitamin C Glow Drops.

It is well known that Vitamin C is excellent for our skin with many of us incorporating it into our everyday regimes. Applied topically Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from the damaging effects of free radicals and brighten and improve skin texture.

When Dr Roebuck’s The Goldie Vitamin C Glow Drops came by our desk we knew we had to put them to the test:

What they say

Dr Roebuck’s The Goldie

What we say

We were uncertain about what to expect when we first received this product, the drops are packed with skin loving ingredients but we were unsure how that would combine with the golden mica glow. But after a few days of using we can confirm we love this product.

The drops give the skin the most beautiful subtle glow and are very hydrating. The texture is a mix between an oil and a serum and glides onto the skin smoothly and evenly. We like to use the drops before moisturising in our morning routine or on the weekend when our skin is feeling great we will use them on their own after cleansing, sans makeup, for a little extra glow without heavy foundation.

The packaging is cute, the drops come in a glass bottle with Dr Roebuck’s signature white lid and gold and black writing on the jar. The product looks like a little pot of gold which is beautiful on the bathroom shelf.

If you haven’t used Dr Roebuck’s products before, they are an Australian clean beauty brand that uses natural and local ingredients that focuses on giving skin a gorgeous glow.

We have only been trialling the product for about 2 weeks, many of us in the office have been we have been using The Secret Skincare (our new skincare obsession!) and this is a lovely accompaniament to those products on days when we want to alternate brands.

Two of the ele team tested these products, one with normal to dry skin (one of our Editors) and the second (one of our social team) who has more acne prone skin. Both of the team reported that it was calming and hydrating with no breakouts (as some C products can cause).

Priced at $79.95 it is mid-range in price for a C serum, but the added glow benefit and ability to use it when instead of makeup on a great skin day makes it well worth the purchase. You only need a 1-2 pumps each use so we expect it will last for 2-3 months if used once every day or every other day.

This product feels like a little boost of morning sunshine in a jar and it is a lovely addition to our morning skincare routine.
