Phew! After this week’s emotional series finale (no spoilers ahead we promise!) we get the news that a The Summer I Turned Pretty Movie is on its way.
Fans of the whole Belly/Conrad/Jeremiah trio are over the moon with the news that we will be returning to Counsins beach for a full feature length movie soon. Here’s what we know so far.
When will it air?
There is no confirmed date yet for the movie and with filming just underway it could be that we are waiting until later in 2026 for the full length feature. But hold tight as Belly’s final happy ending is on its way.
Who will star in the movie?
The original cast including Lola Tung and Christopher Briney, are locked in to reprise their roles so we don’t have to stress about Conrad being replaced by a new love or Jeremiah heading off to live his best life in Cabo and not gracing our screens again.
Will Belly and Conrad be together?
All signs point to Belly and Conrad marrying at Cousins on the beach in the movie finale, if you believe that the movie will stay true to the books. It’s likely we will get a time jump and a marriage, and drumroll..possibly the pitter patter of little Belly and Conrad feet (or perhaps a Taylor and Stephen mini-me?).
Will Belly grow her hair out?
It’s the big questions that need answering! Who knows, but we expect it will be full romantic beachside wedding, long hair and all for our Cousins couple. The finale left this up in the air with her hair pulled into a tight bun, but we think long-haired Belly will be back.
Will Jeremiah get a happy ending?
Of course he will! Jenny Han, the book’s author, isn’t really about giving us too much pain and suffering so we do predict that Jeremiah will be loved up and on his way to a stellar foodie career in the movie.
And the rest of the cast?
Expect resolution for Laurel, the dads, Taylor and Stephen plus surprise flashbacks from Susannah (she was spotted with the cast).
