How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Venue for Your Budget

Choosing the right wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you’re going to make for your wedding. There can be little doubt about that. It is quite a daunting task especially when you’re working with a specific amount of money. It will set the stage for the entire celebration, so you must get a venue that reflects your taste and style. It should also accommodate guests and not break the bank. It is a tall order, but you can absolutely stay within budget. Here’s how to do it.

Set a Realistic Budget

The first thing you have to do is get your head out of the clouds so to speak, and be realistic. Look at how much money you have and how much you can actually spend. Wedding venues are going to vary in prices; it all depends on the location, season and even the services that are included.

Before you start scouting wedding venues you should decide how much your wedding budget is going to be so that you can allocate enough revenue to it. Venues represent a big portion of the wedding cost so know your financial boundaries here.

Understand What’s Included in the Price

Wedding venues often come with a big array of pricing structures. Some will include more services than others. It’s essential that you ask what is and isn’t included in the venue’s price. You don’t want any surprises when it is time to pay that check.

Some venues offer an all-inclusive package that will cover essentials and catering. While others will only provide you with the space and you have to do the rest. Make sure you thoroughly understand what is included in the package that you are getting so that you don’t have any mix-ups for your wedding.

Consider Off-Peak or Weekday Weddings

If your wedding date is flexible, consider hosting your wedding during the off-peak season or on a weekday. Wedding venues often have high demand during the peak seasons of the month and also on the weekends.

This will skyrocket prices so if you are on a budget then go ahead and choose a time when the use of the venue may not be as popular. You may also find that other vendors such as photographers and florists will offer you lower prices as well during these off-peak times

Determine Your Guest List Size

Your budget is going to be affected by the amount of guests that you have, there is no way to get around that. It is critical that you choose the venue that is the right capacity.

This is why you need to ensure that your guests confirm their attendance ahead of time. If your guest list is small then you’re in luck, you can choose a more intimate venue and you will probably pay a lot less. If you’re having a larger wedding then it’s a good idea to see if you can get an all-inclusive package. This way you will be able to cut costs.
