Visit a beautiful dahlia flower farm in rural Victoria, Country Dahlias.
About 5km from Winchelsea in rural Victoria, Australia is a farm that is home to Australia’s largest collection of dahlias. Over 2000 dahlia varieties are grown at Country Dahlias, a flower farm that is lovingly tended to by Jenny Parish, a specialist dahlia grower.
Jenny’s knowledge of dahlias is impressive and she is able to tell you all about growing, caring for and harvesting dahlias. With 20,000 dahlias bushes on the farm when they are all out in bloom it is a flower lover’s dream.
Every year, for a few weeks in early autumn, the farm is open to the public to view and inspect the dahlias. For any dahlia lover to be able to see so many varieties in one place is well worth the trip. Your can also purchase bunches of flowers at the farm on the day of your visit.
Orders for dahlia tubers can also be made when you visit and the tubers are dispatched in early October to mid-November ready for planting in the summer garden.
Country Dahlias really is a little slice of dahlia paradise for anyone who loves flower farms and these spectacular blooms. For more information, including opening hours visit Country Dahlias.
