Live: Three Must-Have Products for Beautiful Skin

Over the years we have spent thousands of dollars on skincare products, from high-brands to budget buys and everything in between. It wasn’t until we finally found a great skin clinic and esthetician and got some good advice that we have focused our routine on a few key products that really work. In combination with cleansing, moisturising and exfoliating these three products will have your skin glowing and ageless in no time.

1. SPF – sun exposure is one of the biggest causes of premature ageing. A good SPF packed with skin-loving ingredients, applied to the face and backs of the hands every day (even in winter) is a must. Two of our favourites are Alpha-H Protection Plus 50+ and Aspect Envirostat 50 +

2. Retinol (Vitamin A)- Number one of every list of must-have products, retinol minimises fine lines and wrinkles, smooths skin texture and assists with acne, hyperpigmentation and dark spots. It basically works to encourage skin cells to renew themselves again, making it a hero ingredient in the skincare industry. But beware, not all retinol products are created equally and it can be a costly exercise finding the most suitable one for your skin. Cosmedix Define is our favourite product on the market, however it isn’t cheap. For a cost effective retinol which also has great results try Skinstituit Retinol

3. Vitamin B Serum – B vitamins play a crucial role in our overall health and our skin is no exception. A good B serum calms and hydrates, restoring a gorgeous glow to the dullest skin. It delivers moisture to the outer layers, hydrating and reducing fine lines. We prefer good quality skincare brands that focus on results, not just pretty packaging. Here are our two favourite B serums. Alpha-H Vitamin B with Copper Tripeptide never fails to make our skin glowy and beautiful. Aspect Extreme B 17 is a beauty elixir in a bottle that delivers gorgeous results.

  1. Thanks For the advice!

    Belle semaine!

  2. Hi, I’m Australian and I have lots of sun damage on my skin. I’ve always been skeptical about whether creams actually help or if it’s mostly profiteering by the manufacturer. It’s nice to read your endorsement of these products

    • Hi, thanks – these products are the ones we have found that really work. There is so much choice out there it’s hard to work out where to start. We believe you don’t need lots of products, just a few that actually work. Being Australian too the number one thing we use daily is the SPF, even through winter. Thanks for your message x

      • Yes, I agree but then I’m stuck because of advice that I have to increase sun exposure because of Vitamin D deficiency! I’ll just need to find a middle ground. Thanks for the thoughtful response
