Six Hotels To Visit In 2020

Some our favourite luxury hotels in locations we love that are worthy of a place on any must-visit hotel list in 2020.

There is something about checking in to a beautiful, luxury hotel that sets the tone for an entire trip, and if you add any one of these beautiful luxury hotels to your must-visit list in 2020 we can guarantee you won’t be disappointed, on the contrary you may never want to leave the hotel.

1. The Peninsula, Paris

The Peninsula in Paris is high on our list, not only is it perfectly located in the beautiful French capital but it sets the bar extremely high in terms of luxury and service. There is something a little theatrical (in a refined, elegant way) about a stay at the Peninsula which is exactly what you want when splashing out some serious cash – to be pampered, spoilt and looked after with a little Parisian flair.

Exquisite interiors, luxurious suites and near perfect service, it is a true splurge in a city that’s definitely worth splurging on.

2. The Park Hyatt, Milan

Refined luxury in one of the most elegant cities in the world, the Park Hyatt in Milan is one of our favourite hotels in Italy. Perfectly located only a stone’s throw away from the Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II and the famous Duomo, the Park Hyatt is a welcome oasis of calm in the heart of the city. Service is exactly what you would expect from a high end hotel in Milan, refined, inconspicuous and anticipating of your every need. Mio Lab serves up divine cocktails and dining at Michelin starred VUN Andrea Aprea is a truly delicious treat.

Perhaps the best thing about a stay at the Park Hyatt is the cool, quiet oasis that the rooms provide and the exquisite bathrooms – which are almost as big as the rooms themselves.

3. Coworth Park, Ascot

British luxury, a perfect countryside setting and the place that Prince Harry stayed on the eve of his wedding, the beautiful Coworth Park is the quintessential English countryside escape. But don’t expect stuffiness or snobbery, the staff are warm and friendly, going out of their way to take excellent care of their guests.

The Coworth is beautiful no matter the season, blanketing snow and cosy drinks by the fire place in winter and fields of wild flowers in bloom in summer. Exploring the 240 acres is a must – that is if you can drag yourself away from perfectly the appointed rooms and those deep soaking copper baths.

4. Turin Palace Hotel, Turin

Quality and class in a city that is high up on our list as one of the favourite places we visited this year, the Turin Palace Hotel in Italy is a hotel that should be on your 2020 travel list. The service is excellent, the team is friendly and helpful, the rooms perfectly appointed and the hotel conveniently located near the train station.

There is a beautiful rooftop terrazza with views across Turin where you can enjoy dinner or drinks (the Negroni’s are a must!) and a tranquil spa with steam room, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the elegant city.

The Turin Palace Hotel is exceptionally priced, in any other major Italian city you could expect to double the price for a hotel of its quality.

5. COMO The Treasury, Perth

Elegant, refined luxury housed in a 1800’s building, COMO The Treasury in Perth, Western Australia is our current pick of beautiful Australian city hotels.

Egyptian cotton sheets, minimalist refined style that screams luxury and a perfect location combine to make this hotel a rare treat in Australia’s most western city.

There are delicious dining options on site, Long Chim, and the fine dining Wildflower, however it’s location means you aren’t ever far from everything that Perth has to offer.

6. 45 Park Lane, London

In the heart of Mayfair, 45 Park Lane is a boutique hotel that screams modern, luxury. Housed in an Art Deco building on London’s famous Park Lane, 45 Park Lane is a sister hotel to the well known Dorchester Hotel across the road. It is a boutique hotel with just 45 rooms which is well suited to well-heeled visitors to the city.

The steaks at CUT, Wolfgang Puck’s on-site restaurant, are worth the stay alone and Bar 45 serves up high quality cocktails in an Art Deco setting. Neither are cheap though, so be prepared to drop a pretty penny during your stay.

The location is great for those who want the Mayfair address, though be aware that Park Lane really just is all about prestige car showrooms and 5-star hotels.
