This week we are getting our French fix with Season 2 of The Parisian Agency (L’Agence) on Netflix.
If you are anything like us, you might need some pure escapist TV this week. With the world taking yet another tumble, in between doomsday scrolling and trying to avoid Covid, we are looking for any feel-good, easy-to-watch show we can get our hands on.
The Parisian Agency (L’Agence in French), is the perfect antidote to the 24/7 bad news cycle. Follow the real lives of French real estate family, the Kretzs’, as they list and sell and properties across France and abroad. Whether it is a high-end apartment in Paris or a chateau in the countryside, the Kretz family are on hand to help homeowners and buyers to achieve the perfect property.
But it isn’t just the exclusive, luxury properties that are on show here, the Kretz family themselves are the main event, from grandmother Majo, to mum Sandrine and dad Olivier and their four sons, Martin, Valentin, Louis and Raphael who all feature in the series. Martin, Valentin and Olivier are part of the family business (Raphael is still in school), and the series follows them through the ups and downs of running a real estate business in the French capital.
Anyone who loves property, interiors and real estate, or lovers of Paris and that French accent. As a bonus, if you are trying to learn French this is the perfect show to hone your skills. Fans of Netflix hit Selling Sunset will love The Parisian Agency.
