Nathisha Paramasivam, upon entering the financial planning industry straight out of university, observed a landscape dominated by sales-driven personalities and oversized egos, which often left clients feeling pressured rather than empowered to make informed financial decisions.
Recognising the need for strategic, high-quality advice, Nathisha founded Gold Tree Wealth Advisory, prioritising trust, education, and long-term planning in client relationships. At Gold Tree Wealth Advisory, the focus remains squarely on the client’s narrative, with a compassionate and integrity-driven approach guiding every interaction.

We asked Nathisha what her best advice would be for fellow business owners, particularly women in male-dominated industries, and she said: “Embrace your uniqueness and trust your intuition.” In sectors where women are underrepresented, Nathisha believes it’s essential not to conform to the traditional norms or emulate male counterparts.
Instead, Nathisha recommends focusing on delivering your services in a way that authentically reflects your vision and values. “While you may encounter skepticism or resistance, staying true to your instincts and forging your own path can ultimately lead to success. Embrace the aspects that set you apart, as they may become your greatest strengths and sources of client loyalty and respect,” asserts Nathisha.

Talent X, led by Maddie Jones, is a boutique people agency challenging the status quo of the recruitment industry. Frustrated by the low ethics and conflicts of interest that exist in the recruitment industry, Maddie and her team are flipping the entire process on its head by enabling clients to hire reliable, overachieving employees to help their businesses thrive.
Maddie believes that Talent X really shines a light on brilliant but sometimes overlooked candidates, so what sets them apart is their ability to find real gems in candidate pools. Moreover, they have effective processes to make sure those gems go to deserving companies. Through surveying, interviewing, and research, Maddie and her team manage to bring perfect fits together. We strive for efficacy and longevity with our clients and candidates. We count (and measure) our success of a candidate performing well in a role for at least 12 months. We refuse to add to the poaching, churning and burning that is fostered by recruiters.
We asked Maddie what her best advice would be for small business owners and she said, “My advice to small business owners looking to grow this year is simple (and obvious): HIRE CORRECTLY. When you’re first building a team or adding more to a small, close-knit team, getting the hire right is even more crucial. A wrong hire could be disastrous and really set you back.”
She added, “The entire culture and modus operandi around recruitment in this day and age revolves around 2 things: a CV and interview impressions. And how many times have we been fooled by these? We might discount great staff, or we might assume someone is ‘perfect’ using the wrong information. We have found this to be true time and time again.”
