4 Brilliant Women Share The One Simple Tip That Will Make Your Life Better

Let’s face it – we’re all looking for that magic bullet to make life a bit better, especially as we head full on into the heart of 2025! Instead of getting lost in the noise of wellness advice, we turned to four Australian women who know their stuff. From a yoga director’s sleep secrets to a naturopath’s breathing techniques, these practical tips might just be the lifestyle upgrade you’ve been searching for. Each expert has narrowed it down to one simple change that could make a real difference to your daily life – and the best part? You can start any of them today.

Martine Allars, Yoga Director at Elixr Health Club

Hands down, the one thing that will change your life for the better, basically immediately, is prioritising your sleep and setting a consistent routine. Our whole body and mind functions better on it and when we don’t get enough of it our stress levels increase, our temper is shorter and we just generally feel like walking pieces of poop. Aim to go to bed with something with a 9 pm in front of it. If you go to bed after 10 pm you will struggle to go to sleep as our body re-wakes again between 10 pm-2 am. Wake up at the same time, or as close to it as you can every day. This will help your body go to sleep when you want it to and wake up when you want it to. Aim for eight hours of sleep every night and not less than six.

Steph Lowe, The Natural Nutritionist & Cell Squared’s Nutrition Expert

Sometimes the oldest tricks are the best ones! As a Nutritionist, I’ve found that tapping into ancient health practices can make a huge difference to how you feel. Take organ meats – they’re absolute nutritional powerhouses that our ancestors knew were gold for energy and immunity. Not keen on cooking liver? No worries! I recommend Cell Squared’s Liver & Spleen Capsules to my clients as an easy high-quality alternative. Combine this with other back-to-basics habits like quality sleep and time outdoors, and you’ve got a simple formula for feeling 10/10!

Tegan Marshall (BHSc, Adv Dip Nat) Clinical Naturopath & Founder of Glowable

As a naturopath, stress expert, and breathwork facilitator, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of one simple practice: focused, intentional breathing. When life feels overwhelming, just taking a moment to pause and focus on your breath can instantly shift your energy. By engaging in slow, deep inhales and exhales, you activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and promoting clarity. This simple practice allows you to reconnect with your body and mind, creating space for better decision-making and emotional balance. It’s a small, accessible tool that, with regular use, can lead to profound improvements in how you manage life’s pressures.

Ella James, Dermal Therapist and Co-founder at Fayshell

Here’s a truth bomb from my experience as a dermal therapist: consistency beats intensity every single time. Just like you wouldn’t expect amazing results from one gym session a month, your skin needs regular care to truly thrive. That’s why I’m so passionate about making skin treatments part of people’s regular routines, not just a special occasion thing. Take something as simple as LED therapy – when you make it a habit, just like your morning coffee or weekly Pilates class, the results are incredible. It’s about treating your skin health like any other form of self-care: consistent, preventative, and part of your lifestyle. Trust me, your future self will thank you for making skin health a priority today!
