Baileys Chocolate Hot Cross-tini Cocktail Recipe

With Easter on the horizon, there’s no better time to lean into the sweet side of the season, and this one’s just for the adults. Whether you’re hosting brunch, catching up with friends, or simply treating yourself, the Baileys Chocolate Hot Cross-tini is a decadent Easter cocktail that turns a classic treat into a sip-worthy indulgence. Inspired by the flavours of a hot cross bun, this creamy creation blends Baileys Chocolate Irish Cream, Smirnoff Vodka, a hint of cinnamon, and a scoop of velvety ice cream, finished, of course, with a toasted hot cross bun for garnish.

Ingredients (1.2 standard drinks)

  • 45ml Baileys Chocolate  (0.6 standard drinks)
  • 20ml Smirnoff Vodka (0.6 standard drinks)
  • 60g ice cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Ice Cubes
  • 60ml milk, very cold
  • 90g cream, very cold
  • 1 teaspoon hot chocolate powder

To garnish:

  • Cocktail pick
  • Hot Cross Bun

Method

Step one: Chill your martini glass.

Step two: Place the Baileys Chocolate Irish Cream, Smirnoff Vodka, ice cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg into a cocktail shaker. Add half a dozen ice cubes and shake well so that the ice cream dissolves. Pour into a martini glass.

Step three: Add the milk and cream into a frother and cold froth until thick (around 1 minute). Pour over the cocktail.

Step four: Place two chopsticks in a hatch pattern over the cold foam and sieve hot chocolate powder on top. Remove chopsticks carefully and serve.
