Productivity Hacks to Supercharge Your Day

Starting the day the right way with a good breakfast and a morning routine is pretty much the way to go. But they only help after getting up. You can supercharge your day and stay productive with a little extra effort to get the day’s work done while staying sane.

Create an Efficient Work Environment

One of the most essential things about working well is your surroundings. Safety, security and comfort are all a necessity. This is true whether you work at an office or from home. An organized space helps you stay productive when you have what you need. But cleanliness is also vital. Carpet cleaning, for example, helps with indoor air quality. It also removes odors so there are no nasty distractions, and provides an easier place to work by removing allergens.

Schedule Your Daily Tasks

It can sometimes seem like your tasks never end. Even when you have a finite amount of things to do, they can get on top of you. Organizing tasks is one of the tricks of productivity. You only have a set amount of time, so schedule each task as you need to. Use calendar and scheduling apps to remind you so you don’t forget. And set aside time blocks for each task. This helps you use the time you have more effectively and also allows you to break down larger objectives.

Supercharge Your Day with Focused Work

You may or may not believe it, but multitasking is a myth! No one can multitask, not even women. Sure, you can try to do many things at once. But all you really do are a few different jobs poorly. A survey by Clockify found that 80% of us get distracted and lose focus during our working day. Trying to multitask is one of the biggest reasons this happens. A more effective approach is to manage time better and focus on doing one task at a time as best as you can.

Prioritize Goals and Objectives

You may have a few things that need to be done each day, week, or month. However, you can waste time by focusing on the wrong things. Time management and productivity rely on priorities. If you can get a few simple jobs done and out of the way fairly quickly, then set aside some time for doing so each morning or evening. But for the meat of your work, itemize each task by order of importance. You don’t want to waste time when there are critical jobs.

Create Custom Templates

Speed and efficiency are great things to have. As Wyatt Earp said, speed is great, but accuracy is better. Of course, you aren’t slinging guns! But the statement stands. So, how can you be faster and more accurate? Templates are your best friend. If there are specific tasks you do a lot of, you can create custom templates for them. For example, for faster blog posts, create templates for each variable length with headers, bullet points, and formatting, saving time.

An efficient work environment will help supercharge your day for better productivity. Staying focused on one task at a time ensures you do it well instead of many poorly. To speed things up, you can create custom templates for repetitive tasks that you have to complete each day
