3 Romantic At-Home Date Ideas

By Leanne Shelton

Missing your date nights? I hear you!

Trying to keep that spark alive when you’re stuck at home and surrounded by screaming kids can be difficult.

But once they *finally* go to bed, the night is yours. Together.

Rather than flopping onto the couch and binge-watching Netflix, make the most of your alone time with these 3 romantic at-home date ideas.

1. A candlelit take-away dinner

Bring the romantic restaurant environment to you. Order your favourite dish, lay out your best tablecloth and dinnerware, light a couple of candles, and find some soulful, classic melodies on Spotify. Oh, and remember the wine! If you have a table in the yard, you can enjoy the evening outside under the stars.

2. Make your own fondue

On your next outing to the supermarket, pick up your favourite blocks of chocolate, skewers, marshmallows, strawberries, and bananas. Then spend an indulgent evening together, dipping your tasty treats into mouth-watering melted chocolate.

3. Have a games night

Pull out that dusty game of Monopoly or Scrabble or re-live your poker-playing days. Or maybe order a cheeky 18+ game online! Make things even more interesting by establishing an enticing prize for the winner. That could be a massage, breakfast in bed, or a chore-free day. Bliss!

Of course, you can also have a Netflix movie marathon from time to time. There’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, cuddling on the couch is exactly what you need.
