In the 5th arrondissement in the heart of the Latin Quarter on Paris’ Left Bank is Rue Mouffetard, one of ELE’s favourite eat streets. This permanent street market along a cobbled Parisian street was described by Hemingway as a ‘wonderful narrow crowded market street’. Fresh seafood, meat, fruit, vegetables, bread, wine, pasta and beautiful cheese are all available on the street. It is the perfect place to come to shop if you are staying somewhere you can cook or otherwise to stock up on delicious French bread and cheese for the perfect Paris picnic. The best time to visit is in the morning after 10am when most shops and stalls will be open prior to lunch.

There’s a gift shop on rue Mouffetard that I recommend: https://zipfslaw.org/2016/07/07/where-to-buy-non-touristy-souvenirs-in-paris/
Nice non-touristy souvenirs.
These are really beautiful photos of the market! It makes me want to go immediately!
