For us it is a combination of crystal clear blue water, soft white sand as far as the eye can see and enough space to avoid the crowds and find your own hidden slice of paradise. East Beach in Port Fairy, Australia ticks all of these boxes. In summer the cool surf is the perfect escape from the hot Australian sunshine and in the cooler months rugging up and walking the expanse from one end to the other is the perfect way to appreciate the beauty of the coast away from the crowds. It is a classic Aussie beach and one of favourites.
