If you are a regular reader of ELE you will know we are very fond of delicious chocolate bark recipes. Easy to make and always a crowd pleaser, it is a great way to make a simple block of chocolate that little bit more special.
With the festive season not that far away, bark is also great to make as an inexpensive gift. Just package in clear cellophane bags and tie with a pretty ribbbon.
Ingredients
200 grams of good quality dark chocolate
3 heaped tablespoons of peanut butter
50 grams of roughly chopped salted peanuts
Method
Melt dark chocolate in a metal bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Once fully melted, spoon the chocolate on to a sheet of baking paper on a flat tray and using a spatula spread out until the bark is about half a centimetre thick.
In a small bowl microwave peanut butter for about 20- 30 seconds until it is soft and runny. Spoon over the dark chocolate and use spatula to gently swirl through the chocolate.
Sprinkle the bark with chopped peanuts. Place in fridge for 1-2 hours until the chocolate is fully set. Once set, chop in to 3 x 3 inch square pieces. Enjoy!
