The Fish & Chippery by the Atlantic on the banks of the Yarra River serves up some of Melbourne’s best seafood and fish & chips. Ran by the same team behind the The Atlantic restaurant at Crown, this is no ordinary chip shop. Seafood skewers, salt and pepper squid, rockling fish burgers and the best chowder we have had outside of San Francisco, combined with a prime location overlooking the river, makes this casual eatery a must visit. Prices are reasonable (burgers $14-$15) and the service is friendly and efficient. Seating is all outside which can be cool on a chilly day however our preference is to grab takeaway and sit in the sunshine along the river bank.
What we ate: Prawn and Fish Chowder, Miso Marinade Rockling Fillet Bun, Red Kale, Potato Cakes and Karma Cola.
