Fermented Chocolate Oats With Quick Chia Jam

Today is the first day of winter in Australia, which means warming hearty comfort food is back on the menu. This high-protein, veggie-packed chocolate oats brekkie recipe from Sarah MacDonald is exactly that. It not only tastes great but is deliciously good for you too. The perfect start to the day no matter what the weather!

Ingredients

1 scoop Whole Earth & Sea® Fermented Protein & Greens

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 small zucchini, grated

1/2 tbsp cacao powder

1/4 cup plant milk (I used oat milk)

1/2 cup frozen berries

1 tsp chia seeds

Method

1. Add the frozen berries to a small bowl and heat in the microwave until soft – about 20-40 seconds. Mash with a fork and add the chia seeds. Stir well and set aside while you prepare the oats.

2. Add the oats, zucchini, cacao powder, plant milk and 1/2 cup of water to a pan. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until soft, about 5-10 minutes.

3. Remove from the heat and stir through the Whole Earth & Sea® Fermented Protein & Greens.


4. Place in a bowl and top with the chia jam. (You can also add some peanut butter!) Enjoy!
