Homemade Peanut Butter

Nut butters are really so incredibly easy to make, requiring few ingredients and little effort to create something that is equally or even more delicious than what you can buy in store.

So whether it’s a classic PB &J sandwich, our Chocolate Peanut Butter Bark or simply eating it straight from the jar(!), this recipe will ensure you always have a delicious peanut butter on hand.

Ingredients

2 cups of dry roasted peanuts, shells and skins removed

2 tbsp honey (optional – honey will make the butter sweeter)

1 tbsp peanut oil

1/2 tsp sea salt

Method

1. Add the peanuts to a food processor and pulse for 2 minutes.

2. Stop the processor and scrape down edges, the peanuts will look crumbly at this stage. Add the salt, honey and oil and continue to process for another 3-4 minutes. The longer the mix is processed for the smoother and creamier it will become.

3. Remove from food processor and place in to a glass jar or container. If you plan to use the peanut butter within a week you can store in the cupboard, otherwise store in fridge to keep fresher for longer. Enjoy!
